A Town for All Seasons

The picturesque Hamlet of Findley Lake, located in the Town of Mina, in southwestern Chautauqua County, has long been an all-season vacation destination for regional visitors. In summer the lake itself is a flurry of boating, fishing & water sport activities. A hometown Memorial Day parade kicks off the summer season highlighted by weekly entertainment at the Gazebo and the 4th of July boat parade, fireworks and festivities. The lake is a favorite among local fishermen & women; all summer long they troll the waters, hoping for a fine day’s catch. Winters are a sight to behold! The average snowfall is more than 200 inches per year, which makes Findley Lake's winter vistas breathtaking. This is the perfect destination for both downhill and cross-country ski enthusiasts. Ice fishermen populate the frozen lake, searching for that special catch. And Findley Lake is one of the favorite destinations for snowmobilers with multiple entries onto the Chautauqua County Trail System.

Findley Lake feels like a step back into a slower, gentler world; at the same time, it is just 2 miles from I-86 and close to all Chautauqua County, NY and Erie County, PA attractions. If you’re looking for a location with lots of night life & a fast pulse, this is decidedly not the town for you. Findley Lake is just right if you are looking for a quiet location with a leisurely, old-fashioned vibe. Here the sidewalks roll up at 5pm and the night skies glitter as far as the eye can see.

Thanks to gorgeous summers on the lake and snowy winters on the snowmobile trail and close to the slopes, Findley Lake is open for business and the Blue Heron is available year ‘round. It's the ideal spot when friends and family are looking for a place to step back, unwind & reconnect.
